£40 quid for a t-shirt - in limited colours with an iconic label - you're having a fucking laugh Liam.
The guy from Burnage forgetting where he came from - clothes for people with a bit of brass - not for the masses that Oasis's music appeals to.
Sorry mate,but thats very wrong.
When football "casuals" started in the 70's,it was the middle of the worst recession ever, everyone was potless, and that woman Thatcher showed no signs of dying,(looking more likely now, thankfully).
But that just meant that working-class lads went out of their way to buy/blag/steal the most expensive threads and Claire Rayners imaginable,(Diadora limited-edition kangaroo skin, anyone)?
The "bottom-end" of acceptablity,terrace-wise,was Fila,Tacchini,Ellesse,Head,Peter Storm,(more of a Scouse thing),Burberry,before every Southern chav was into 'em - moving upmarket to Stone Island,Armani,Dolce & Gabbana,Prada,etc.
The worse things got job-wise,the more people seemed to spend on looking "cool" on matchdays - I remember being on a "special" to a London game where the whole train was like a fucking fashion shoot, and we worked out that the 4 coaches had about a million pounds worth of clobber on!
Although i'm not a great fan of Liam,or Oasis in general, they have done a fucking sight more to promote Manchester that I,and probably anyone else on Bluemoon, ever will.
So,for that reason alone, good luck to him.
