Liam Neeson

She doesn't agree with you, you sound very angry, do you expect everyone to agree with you?

I don't mind her not agreeing, that's fine.

It's the 'twisting yourself up in knots' comment that was stupid.

Essentially, she's saying that some bloke would have coshed me to death 40 years ago if I'd have crossed his path of vengeance, that day.

For something that had happened to his 'mate' and had nothing to do with me.

But I'm supposed to be okay with that now.

You obviously think that's okay too as it was 40 years ago.

My comment about his capacity to change, doesn't mean I forget that someone can think those thoughts about me.

You're still angry and it isn't pleasant reading, go for a walk.

You're not thinking about this logically Bigga, if he had done that, yes, it would have been shit to be you, but the rest of us would have been spared a load of shite films, so greater good and all that, yeah?

;)

I'm not angry, I'm annoyed at the lack of empathy displayed on this thread by yourself, mostly.

It's disgusting.

You need to look at yourself, fella.

I see where you are coming from and why a load of people who haven't experienced the threat of this just shrugging it off would piss you off.

For me Neeson had racist thoughts and should be castigated for it, but he acknowledged it and feels shame so people are looking at that not excusing his behaviour in the past.

I remember an article I read about Christian Picciolini, a reformed neo-nazi who attacked and beat up black people until one day he saw how horrendous it was, he now has a group set up to educate and help turn people away from such.
Can he be fogiven for his violent past? Maybe not, that would be up to the individual, but should he be tarred for life because of it if he has reformed and trying to make up for it? I think so.

Neeson has told this story after being asked about understanding revenge, he opened himself up to criticism, he regrets doing it and appologised, does he deserve forgiveness? Again a personal choice.

I don't think anyone here is condoning what he did or brushing it off, just accepting he regrets and is sorry fo it.

For me he's been a dick.
