Lybia

The sooner we get invaded by aliens the better! That's the only way our world would come together as one!!

So, what exactly is a 'no-fly zone'? Because I thought it meant that no aircraft could fly over Lybia, yet the French have sent planes over... does a 'no-fly zone' only apply to commercial airlines?

The no fly zone ruling means
Anything that the allies think is a threat they can take out tanks even armies!

It's about to go boombastic then.

Haha, the French, the Americans and the British side by side once again.

And judging by the behaviour of ourselves and the yanks in other needy states (oil rich) . . hospitals, schools, aid workers, the red cross(!),farm labourers old folk, women, children, farm animals (a favourite target for Top Gun pilots).

The no fly zone will be flexible too - I clearly remember an account by an RAF pilot who'd resigned his commission in disgust because the RAF, who were in the air enforcing the no fly zone over Iraq at the time, were regularly ordered out of the air by American Command to allow Turkish jets in to bomb Kurd villages. He said that whenever they went back up after a Turkish fly-over the Kurd villages in the north were blown to pieces and burning brighly . . the bodies of fleeing women and children straffed by heavy machine gun and left dead and dying on the roads out of the villages.

It's all right mess . . we live in a society that commits atrocities all over the 3rd world and we suck up the propaganda because it allows us to live with our consciences whereas accepting the truth would spoil our precious sleep.

Gadaffi says the insurgents are being helped by al quaida.Who,exactly are we helping out here?

And you beleive him?

Propaganda is a very strong weapon. He could be right. How were they armed so fast? Who trained them? Who organized them to kick off like they did?

Al Quaida is blamed for almost everything in the west, and we believe it, so why can't he blame them?

This will be nothing like Iraq, expect mass defections and desertions from the Libyan forces, they will know which side their bread is buttered on, think about it would you want to be driving a tank in the middle of the desert knowing that you are a target for some of the most sophisticated weaponry in the world? Add to the fact that a large part of his forces are Sub Saharan mercenaries who are just untrained thugs and cannon fodder, they are not going to want to stick around.

As for Al Queda being involved I think many of you have believed the hype, Al Queda is an umbrella term (It means The Base, which was a guest house in Afghanistan) it does not exist as an organisation, the rebels got their weapons from the vast military infrastructure in Libya when they took the bases
