What's funny about it? Sometimes in diplomacy it pays to look the other way, the consequence of having an Iranian back government in Bahrain are to frightening to even think about, not nice I agree but do you want to maintain your standard of living?

A well known example would be Iran, Mosaddeq and the Shah.

So how does that equate to stealing oil? We might back dictators but we still pay full whack or are you saying we are getting it cheaper than the market price? It may have escaped your notice that the world and the west in particular needs a stable supply of oil in order to function, which includes backing some nasty dictators, not nice and it sticks in the throat but we forget all that when we get into our nice car and our heated house and eat food grown with help of oil

I really dont think this is about oil. The reson why we are Flying over Libya as we speak is to protect the people.

I believe this one. Will hopefully change the view Middle eastern view on us abit too helping protect people for once instead of killing them.
