On the outside looking in.
Anyone else noticed they seem to have gone upmarket a bit with some of their produce, gourmet pie for instance are very good, bought some snails in garlic butter the other day along with some nice looking venison, made the better half a venison casserole for tonight, also doing some nice desserts.

I love Lidl, loads of cool stuff you wouldn't find in Aldi or any of the major supermarkets. Definitely even be better as of late, bakery seems better too.

This is why I shop at Aldi.

The image of Lidl is changing and it's going from strength to strength. The new stores look class, a world away from the garish yellow and blue of the past. I went in a new Aldi recently and it looked 15 years old already.

It won't ever have the same choice as your megastores but that's why it's cheaper. Tesco sell about 20 types of ketchup. Do you need that kind of choice?

For your basics plus some novelty lines it's brilliant.

Ps if you use your hands to pick up the bakery stuff and not the tongs you're a ****.

Their stuff and especially Aldi's has always been quality and the half price weekends were class, but no longer :(
