Life as a single

36 now , feels really tough to find woman with whom I am confident I will be able to be for rest of my life . At crossroads of thinking even I should keep looking for marriage options or stay single. Any singles in our group and how’s life been in your 40s , 50s and above ? Any regrets, any advices ? Do you feel lonely sometimes and how do you cope with it ?
Just a thought but maybe a lot of women aren't really interested in a Trump- and Musk-supporting zealot.

Not a value judgment, just a comment.

Been married twice. First time was when I was a naive 18 year old (it lasted, unsurprisingly, 18 months). Second time at 35 (lasted about 10 years).
Don't think I'm really cut out for marriage, made me feel trapped.
Now in a relationship that has lasted 14 years, and we live separately although always stay together at weekends.
For me it's been the best relationship I've ever had, and much easier.

I'm in my late 60s, and now single after two failed, but lengthly marriages .... I regret that the marriages didn't work out, but the trust had gone in both .... I can't say that I'm deliriously happy now, i'm hardly fit enough to do cartwheels anyway, and my life is basically just watching City, listening to music, and drinking in bars and pubs etc, but i AM content to a certain degree .... i do get lonely at times, and wish there was someone to share life with again, but I just don't really anticipate my life ever improving or changing now, so I just accept my lot, try to remain upbeat and optimistic, and just 'get on with it'.

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not.
The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone
