You are desperately confusing different issues.

For the record, I have climbed all over Europe and many, many times had thousands of feet of space beneath my feet. I've often done so with much less secure protection than the guy in the video obviously has and occasionally with vitually none at all.

I don't doubt that high winds are a hazard when climbing towers and gear blowing around is certainly part of that. But again, I was commenting on the video and in that the wind is not excessive.

I've never climbed up or down a 1200 foot ladder, but agree that it would keep you fit and alert!

I'm desperately confusing fuck all your honour....the geezer in the vid had no security and the Dake the Paki parable was told fondly cause i was fond of him....there the two bits YOU got confused over.

Is the man in the video wearing a harness and carrying a long heavy rope just to make the climb more interesting then?

I know a few people who do high access work and I am also not blind.

I'm glad you were fond of your friend, but it is sad and worrying that even now you can't see your own racism. Some of them are alright, afterall, aren't they?

I enjoy heights but my legs would certainley be a bit wobbly up there, especially the free climb bit

Worked with some telecom riggers once and they had all been banned from Emley Moor tower. One of them hooked himself onto something at the top and his mate took a pic of him dangling hands free at 1,084 ft.
