I think this is one of the biggest differences we would see in our play if we sign him, his ability to create space and get a shot away from around the edge of the box is incredible.

Against the teams that are difficult to break down, we seem to lack that person to make space for themselves and shoot. Not only can Messi do that but he will free up space for our other forwards as defenders will be desperately scrambling to try and stop him. Having Messi would make it even more difficult for teams to park the bus against us.

I was absolutely convinced he was taking the piss & I didn't want the circus anyhow. We play great football without him imo, just need a defence.

But I concede he really means it & seeing the reaction of certain elements in the media, plus the agony of the Cartel, their fans, it's just going to be a repeating kick in the bollocks, for all of them, week in, week out, until their eyes are busting out of their heads, then kick them some more.
