Well I've just heard that Mr Messi has been seen in Bath wearing a City shirt so perhaps there's some truth in this afterall!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....Sorry :(

As much as I know some people don't like to admit it, Robinho is not in the same league as Messi. Messi is an untouchable player of the kind where if he signed even for the 'mighty' united, it would be world wide news which people would never have thought would happen. He has no requirement to sign for us, as we're not ready for a player of that status yet. Robinho was different, he hated Madrid full stop. The fact it was only Chelsea in for him though tells its own story that he is not a worldstar player like Messi is. If we got Messi it would be headline news of the likes no club has ever been able to make. It would be like Notts COunty knocking on our door and asking for Robinho if you like, because that is what we are in comparison to Barca.[/quote]

Chelsea were the only team in for him because they had the money that United, Milan etc don't have plus Barca would be the last place they would of sold Robinho to. Robinho is in the same league as Messi, do you remember the Copa America final? Robinho was man of the match while Messi was no where to be seen. Messi is highly overated while Robinho is underated. Against Chelsea in the two legs last season he did nothing, they were very lucky to get the draw. He was also pretty boring in the Champions League final, did'nt beat O'Shea or Evra once.

As in a previous thread, i'm not bagging Robinho, I love the little shit, but there are 3 names in world football who are untouchable in my opinion. Kaka, Messi and Pizza Face. Kaka was untouchable when he was at Milan and was only going to go to a bigger club than Milan. Pizza Face is the same. Messi... well where do you go after being Barcelona's best player? What is there left to do? Unfortunately for us there are many more options available, (mainly staying at arguably the biggest club in the world), than coming to Man City. Chelsea tried to sign Ronaldinho in 05', but failed. Not even Chelsea can sign the top 3 players in the world, (top 3 at that time).... we have no chance!!!!!
