The player's father was raised break off negotiations
A separate him 45 million Messi Barca
The different in gross annual salary is nine million euros

The negotiation between Barcelona and Messi to improve his contract looks like it will be extended . The difference between the bid and what the club asks Jorge Messi is 45 million, nine each of the next five seasons . The player's father came to raise even break off negotiations .

The different in gross annual salary is nine million , which shows the distance of the positions . The player is under contract until 2018 and at one time , were raised to give pay raise and keep the tab that has Leo right now.

The positions are far apart and the agreement will be difficult , if the end is closed, because the player thought to break and not to renew the talks .

There are many issues to be resolved : the fixed salary of the player (45 million calls over the player ) , the variables ( increasing the value thereof at the expense of lowering the initial fixed ) , image rights ( the club wants of them and the player ), personal sponsorships ...

There Messi mess in sight. The next will be key for a renewal of time not going well resolved .

And now Messi, 26, admits he has no intention of leaving the the Spanish giants, despite strong interest from Manchester City.

He said: "I intend to retire here at Barcelona.

"As long as people want me, I will stay, I am happy here."

For me, that's him just making a point to the fans that he is not 'choosing' to leave; that a move is being forced upon him. Or am I mad?
or him saying "I intend to retire here at Barcelona."

"As long as people want me, I will stay, I am happy here

I cant ever see it happening, maybe before ffp,but the figures involved imo would rule it out, imagine nasri, messi, silva behind aguero,we can but dream, imo

i tend to agree with you .with the contract talks dragging by not paying him what he wants think this will be spun as barca not wanting him enough.think it also depends on what sort of a world cup neymar has .if he is the superstar it could get interesting

The onerous contract with Barcelona for Neymar, according to the newspaper As, is creating quite a few problems at the club blaugrana, especially the one related to the future of Leo Messi. The opening title, in this view, is "to hold back Messi 250 million." The Argentine fact would have asked the club € 25 million net (almost double gross) per year to renew his contract.

Maybe he's now pushing for a move,by asking for double his current pay......if the above is true.

"As long as people want me, I will stay, I am happy here."

This is the part that is noteworthy, everytime he is asked whether he intends to stay on, he answers in the affirmative but adds that condition.

This is gonna run and run. Messi says something that supports a move to City and it's gospel. He says anything less supportive and it's discounted. This thread will drive us all nuts and we'll be hanging on every word during the World Cup. Bring it on - it's better than spending all summer waiting to hear if we have signed Ben Thatcher.
