Players like that don't exactly grow on trees. On a positive side if we don't get him, getting Messi could halt us signing players for the next 3 summer transfer windows just purely due to his wages and .
Maybe the best approach is to go for a player who's going to be the next big thing like Chelsea have with Havertz. We could sort 3 problem spots out in our squad this summer and get Messi on a free next summer.
Just a suggestion.
But if he doesn't come we could - as suggested sort a deal out for the Summer of 2021.Players like that don't exactly grow on trees.
How does it get from here? Both sides must be thinking they are winning.I think it is a more realistic assessment of where we are at.
The exit will have to be stage managed. The starting positions were too combative and everyone needed to dial their attitudes back a little bit. Part of that requires both sides to look like they're considering the position of the other. Which I think is where we are.
A bit late in all of this but it does beg the question of why Messi hasn't hired a better agent than his own father to facilitate his exit better
Trust is difficult in this game and Leo is super cautious in that regard but surely there's an agent that could be better served to deal with a scoundrel like Bartomeu
