FWIW here is my take on the situation thus far;
- Lionel Messi wants to leave Barcelona and has informed them as such.
- Lionel Messi wants to come to us and has told us so!
- We have a contingent deal in place, which rests on many factors, the main one is that we aint ever going to pay 650M+
- He has now left it to 'his people' to come up with a deal for his departure from Barcelona.
- This will take time due to all the posturing and face saving political issues associated with being the person who let Messi go!
- IMO... a certain Lionel Messi is already looking for a house in the NW of England, well not him personally, that will of course be something else his people are doing of course!
