I know people are saying he's declining, or losing steam, but think this is exactly the sort of transfer we need.

So much negative energy surrounding our club for the past 3 years from the media, UEFA, injuries, merseyside (and many more sources). Lots of negativity in the World too. I can't help but believe that signing Messi would be a huge boost to our players, and that we'd see a completely different side to Raheem, Kevin, Jesus, and many more. Lining up next to the biggest name in football would do wonders for morale

Four players have signed contract extensions, the rest are in negotiations on salary reductions. We read reports daily about how much they plan to offer for garcia, depay, mustafi, etc etc.

Definitely, also worth noting that Messi can sign for us in January if he fancied it so they don’t have a lot of power anyway. It's the hope that kills you. I think this is unlikely though given their perilous league position. If he stays they're more likely to do better on the pitch, which will be worth more money.
