A very insightful comment. We would indeed be a “different club” without Pep, Soriano and Txiki.

Though, I’m not sure what your comment is aimed at achieving? It’s as if you’re trying to take ownership (on behalf of your own club) for City’s current success? Are they really the “Barca architects”, or can they be called the “City architects” now that they’ve been here longer?

One thing I am confident of is that, without those people, we would still be a better managed club than yours! Khaldoon and co know how to manage a club without bankrupting it.

I cannot take ownership. I only pointed out that money alone is a guarantee of nothing. Galactico era proved that too. You have to have great management & coaching to compliment sound finances

There can be no denying that City set out to make a Barca-lite structure without the political entorno that can destabilize as we have witnessed over past 11 seasons and that serves City FC well. Barca simply has a role in it whether some would care to downplay it, there's a reason why we are often in for the same players as well

Management & finances are too different things, throw in coaching and there are many variables that make a club great/successful

No one was arguing management and finance are not two different things though it does help you buy the right management team keep debt low at least in the begging until the business can function on its own and of course invests for growth which can then keep finances in order.

Would we have seen the rise of the CFG without the Barcelona guys I think so but it was clearly taken from them to a degree they wanted a US team

But there are other examples e.g Redbull and Watford. We seem to have taken it to another level in terms of global spread service side of things and rather than spreading a drinks brand or other brand we are spreading a style of football a type of youth development and spreading football costs relating to scouting marketing etc.

I also think we have not yet seen the full fruits of the campus which could be spread globally like Disney the full development and use of technology or any development of the City brand as apparently outlined by Gary cook as in e.g City cars City gyms City cloths City drinks City basically we a prefix to a product rather than a part of a name to a football club none of this applies to any club let alone Barcelona

So how dare you or even your club or even Soriano and Tixi take credit for it how arrogant

City without the Barça architects would be a very different club

Without Sheikh Mansour there would be no Barca Architects.

So, you have to go back to the original source who has changed Manchester City.

Prior to the Barca Boys arriving, Mancini and Pellegrini had already won the PL title and other domestic English cups. So the Barca Boys didn't get the ball rolling.

What you need to accept, and be worried about, is the vision and determination by Sheikh Mancsour and Khaldoon to make Manchester City a success off and on the pitch.

If Sheikh Mansour owned Barcelona, it wouldn't be in the shi* it is in. And is going to be in for a very long time to come.

If we got Messi how much would it affect the rest of our transfer business ? Is he still capable of perhaps not carrying a team but allowing us to extend the contract of other players like Aguero and perhaps Fernandinho and even Zinchenko and not spending big or at all on replacing them I will miss them for there own reasons on the other hand we are not really getting much out of any of them this season and will probably get even less out of two of them next year due to age and injuries

Fucking hell, talk about a new low, piggybacking City's success down to Barcelona links and long arm origins.

I take it Barcelona can claim everything Jose Mourinho as one of their own has ever won, because he was briefltly there at one point, and as we all know, once a cule always a cule.

I guess then the fact that Pep nearly signed for City as a midfielder means Barcelona's greatest ever generation and the success of that team is really all down to us, and ours to claim as our own accomplishment.
