Have you hacked my emails ;)

Jesus is the one I suspect will be deemed acceptable damage in keeping Sergio another season AND buying Haaland/another top grade forward.

As you say, Messi is a stand alone and always has been, financially speaking.
I’ve said before I’d sell Jesus to part fund haaland and have aguero gradually hand over the number one spot over a few months as haaland settles in to a new club and league. In 12 months when Sergio leaves to a full house at the Etihad, Torres and or delap or nmecha become the other striking option. Sergio also holds messi’s hand for 12 months whilst he settles.

This is the way I see it with our forward line...

Aguero - when fit would still score 20-30 in all comps. Club legend and deserves another 12mths

Mahrez - never been good enoug

Jesus - still young but if you can’t score goals in this city team there is something wrong.

Sterling - out of form but always scores and has turned himself in to a marketing dream for the club.

Torres - too early to assess.

Mahrez and Jesus are the 2 for me who we should be looking to move on before anyone else.

If it means being able to bring in Messi AND Haaland then you’d be a complete fucking moron to be against it.

Selling Jesus to keep a 33 year old Aguero around, after the year he's had, would be insane. I love Sergio but we can't lose someone like Gabby for sentimentality reasons.
I personally think sentiment is the only reason we’d be keeping Jesus.

I like him. He’s an honest player, has scored important goals for us and works his nuts off but is never going to command a starting spot as our 1st choice centre forward.

A centre forward not taking chance after chance put on a plate for him is no different to a centre half who keeps making mistakes.

It is literally his job to finish the chances we create and I don’t think he’s good enough at doing it.

To be honest, the only way I can see Jesus leaving this summer is in part exchange for Haaland. Dortmund have been linked with him in the past and he'd be a great fit for them.

I'd still rather have both.

Ac Milan will be where Jesus goes i think, heard from their fans they are looking at replacing Zlatan this summer. And their new model for the club is to buy young talent in the 18 to 24 range so i could see them going for Jesus. Milan do like swap deals as well so City could get something out of that.

This is the only scenario I can think of that sees big money moves at the big clubs.

We buy Haaland for €100m+

Mbappé decides to quit PSG.

Real Madrid sell Jovic, Odegaard, Brahim, Kubo, Ceballos etc. to get him in.

PSG now have €150m burning a hole in their pocket and buy Felix or Lautaro or Dybala.

Atletico/Inter/Juve forward us that money for Jesus.

Dortmund could get Jovic for €70m or so with some of the Haaland money.

However I think it all beaks down at point #2.
No one is buying Jovic for 70 M. He cost Real Madrid 60 M and has been a flop.

Out of the 3 for PSG, i can only see Dybala. We had previous link with him.

Milan AC don't have the money to spend big on Gabriel Jesus. If you want big money for him, it is not the club that should buy him.

Grealish is an interesting one, as we already have the maximum number of association trained players for the UCL: Walker, Stones, Ake, Sterling. (Ake is registered as foreign at the moment to accommodate Carson, but that's a technicality.) If we signed Grealish, would we move one on? Most likely candidate is probably Walker, considering his age, Cancelo's form and our plethora of young right backs on loan.

Sentiment is the reason to keep the 23 year old rather than the 32 year old who hasn't scored in a year?

Well that’s not what I said.

There is some sentiment in giving Aguero another 12 months but he’s not 37 is he. If he stays fit he’ll be 2nd choice striker to whoever we sign in the summer.

There is also sentiment in keeping Gabby. We’d be keeping him because he’s a likeable player but we all know he isn’t going to bang in 30 league goals for us.

If I had to show a ruthless streak (knowing we’re going to sign a first choice striker anyway) then Jesus would be out. At least we know a fit Aguero will score goals. A fit Jesus doesnt.
