Messi is about the same age as Djokovic and he is still dominating men's tennis. Federer at Messi's age was still one hell of a player. What happens though is the older one gets the easier for the management and fans to blame the player for poor results, losing a step or having stale tactics. As far as I can see Messi hasn't lost any of the attributes that has made him the most exciting football player of the last dozen years. I would love to see Messi here however I'm also equally in a position of not being bothered if he does not come. I just hope we win the CL this year so I don't have to hear about how the club and Pep just bought Messi so we could finally win CL.

From a long term financial aspect....this doesn't make sense over a Mbappe / Haaland etc.

Yes he will cost A LOT of money, but its Messi.....similarly to Ronaldo at Juve, his name value alone is enough to generate millions upon millions of revenue, maybe even enough to recoup whatever we will end up paying him

We are the best run football club in the world, we have fantastic revenue streams, lots of other players (assets) in the primes of their careeer, the deepest squad in the world, the best manager in the world, the best infrastructure in the world, the best owners in the world and are part of a group that now have teams in China, US, India, Belgium, France, Spain etc.....if anyone can the a risk....its us
