I can’t see enough key games for every player if Messi and Haaland join and only Mahrez leaves.

I expect based on zero inside info whatsoever that if Messi joins then Haaland will be next year

Messi will love having Kun here

Love it
Time will tell!

I’m fairly confident of us signing at least one of Messi/Haaland so either way it’s gonna be fun next year when we’re all allowed back!

Still can't believe there's people questioning whether we should get Messi or not. Man scores for fun. I want to boil piss god dammit come on Messi

Anyone else think Leo has looked happier at Barcelona recently? Could be reading too much into things but he has ran harder and looked ecstatic to be scoring for them etc when he didn’t earlier in the season?

If an English side signs Haaland, they win the next 3 or 4 titles at least. I want that side to be us.

Now if going after Messi means we miss the bus on Haaland, that would be criminal in my book. Even more so if Messi drags this whole saga out over the whole of the summer window, which I think he will, before miraculously mending bridges with Barcelona and agreeing a new deal there.

If we sign Haaland then nothing else matters and I’d be happy to go for Messi on top as, even though I personally don’t think it is a good idea, I’m not arrogant enough to think I know better than the club and signing Haaland, after winning the title so well this season would generate so much boiled piss amongst the hateful 8 and their media chums that it would make the next few months enjoyable and wonderful to behold.

From a footballing viewpoint signing the hottest young striker since Aguero - as Aguero comes to the end of his powers - must be the number one priority and as long as any pursuit of Messi does not interfere with that I’m all good.

I guess the ultimate fantasy is City win 3 or 4 trophies this season, announce a good few sponsorship deals over the summer and autumn, AND sign Messi and Haaland, thus sowing up England for the new few years as well as almost guaranteeing a couple of the next few Champs Leagues.

To be a fan or a member of the leadership teams at the red scum clubs would to be living a nightmare and I would love it.

Agreed but I honestly believe we will sign both, if Little Alf was not interested or more importantly we would not pay the going rate, it would be out in the open already. As it stands we appear to be in for him and in a serious way.

I would genuinely love to see Messi in a City shirt, but all good things come to an end. I think the risks probably outweigh the benefits when the team are at the top. If Pep wants to risk it, fair enough, and we'll have a blast watching him. I am not convinced he does. The priority will be a striker, with a high conversion rate, who could be around for years. One can see Pep's frustration on the touch line, at the chances we miss. He knows that against Bayern, we may only get that one chance.

P.S Write Aguero off at your perril etc, but I fear he is finished at the top table. Injuries have finally caught up on him.

For his own sanity thats a good thing. Being unhappy for that long isnt nice for anyone.
His happiness isnt what matters, its whether he thinks barca can be competitive
