Barça's new management is in a worse economic situation than expected
The internal audit reveals
losses close to 350 million euros for this year and no profits are expected until 2022-23
Everyone agrees that Barça's new management has a lot of work to do, but the first thing is to know exactly what economic situation the club is in. The first conclusions drawn from the internal audit commissioned by Joan Laporta and his team reflect more losses than expected, according to information from the program "Eleven".
Ferran Reverter, Barça's new general manager, has been in charge of presenting the economic situation and the solutions to the board in the coming months. According to this information,
the losses for this season could reach 350 million euros, and the shock plan proposed by Reverter would allow the next season to close even with losses but much smaller. It would be in the next fiscal year, 2022-23, when profits could begin to be generated.
This prediction would have been made taking into account the permanence of Messi in the team and the signing of a front-line crack.
Although the figures may indicate otherwise, Reverter has conveyed to Laporta and the rest of the executives an optimistic message in the sense that there are ways to solve the economic impasse without mortgaging the team's competitive future.
