Yeah, no doubt some will still say but but he hasn't signed.

There is no masterplan behind the scenes of City signing Messi. We haven't even been linked to him in half serious way for about 6 months.

He is in the same situation as Fernandinho, does not matter if he is out of contract soon as Ferna will sign anyway.

He can still sign for anyone he wants,.

If Messi really wants to go somewhere else, he would have signed for City, PSG or whoever. Nothing is stopping him from signing for anyone else.

The fact that he has not by this point, is all confirmation you need.

Money. It's his last big pay day. The new president has only been in office 3 months and no doubt they started negotiations miles appart.
