I feel like people are ignoring the facts to suit their own opinion here.
Omar stated in October last year that if Messi ever became available, we would be having a discussion.
Its also been stated that a deal for Messi would always be separate from any other transfer dealings. (Grealish AND Kane).
Whether he ends up at City, PSG or there's some mad fucking turnaround in Spain (which IMO isn't likely now) City will currently be looking into two separate pieces of business. Kane and Messi.
And on the latter, this won't be something that's just kicking into action after last night's bombshell. We will have been informed all the way, going right back to September last year. An interesting few weeks ahead anyway.
