Unless someone higher up at the club tells Pep that it's their decision to make, not his
Can't see this ever happening. As I said earlier, Pep and Messi are the only two people in the football industry where I think City would throw conventional logic out of the window. I think if Pep ever did say that he didn't want Messi, and I find that highly unrealistic, then we'd back off.

Why would Pep have an issue with how Messi behaved?

He handed in a transfer request, was refused his move and didn't take Barca to court because he loves the club. Not really sure what more he could have done

I was just going off Tolmie's post on the subject a while back

I feel like people are ignoring the facts to suit their own opinion here.

Omar stated in October last year that if Messi ever became available, we would be having a discussion.

Its also been stated that a deal for Messi would always be separate from any other transfer dealings. (Grealish AND Kane).

Whether he ends up at City, PSG or there's some mad fucking turnaround in Spain (which IMO isn't likely now) City will currently be looking into two separate pieces of business. Kane and Messi.

And on the latter, this won't be something that's just kicking into action after last night's bombshell. We will have been informed all the way, going right back to September last year. An interesting few weeks ahead anyway.

Who's Omar?

What a shit answer

When did you change your mind Omar? Oh, you’re not Omar & you have no fucking idea. Now that’s reality ;)
This was all before getting a certain Jack Grealish and aiming for Kane. And that was also last year, we've since renewed what like, 3 key player deals? Would be interested to see how the wage bill looks now and whether we can still accommodate Messi.
