Not to get ahead of ourselves here but in the event that we did actually sign Messi what would be the consequences squad wise?

Sterling likely not renew, much less playing time? Jesus out? Bernardo likely gone as is anyway. Just given Mahrez a new bumper contract in the position Messi would fancy too. Kane/a number 9 move dead? Messi false 9 like ten years ago at Barca?

Obviously we'd work something out but it's an interesting headache to consider. Like I said only hypothetical though, thinking aloud.
