Aye. That sounds right. But as Stefan has said, they can apply all the pressure they want there's no guarantee the league will bend and they will have to do A LOT of bending to make Messi's contract fit into their rules.
Tbf though La Liga is in the toilet commercially once Messi leaves Spanish shores. He's literally the only thing La Liga has going for it now, they know that as well. I'm sure there's a lot of brinksmanship going on.
