Messi brings money back into La Liga. If Tebas is blocking the move wouldn’t be surprised to see him somehow leave his position, although I don’t really know how La Liga works. Especially with the Vini race rowl at the moment and his very vague messages about it.
Money talks, Messi is money to a struggling league.
oh yeah back in 2021, talk of a 5%-10% stake of the CFG (worth roughly $250m-$500m) to be offered to him after a deal that had 2 years in Manchester and 2.5 years in New York IIRC.I seem to remember talk of giving him a % of ownership!
I could see this happening. He would surely need some playing time in Miami to support the shirt sales thoughJust read Barca are in talks with Miami to do a dodgy deal where Miami sign Messi then loan him to Barca for 18 months the dodgy wankers.
He'd have just turned 37 in 18 months - meaning he'd have at least one or two seasons left in him at Miami and - no doubt - will want to take part in the 2026 world cup.I could see this happening. He would surely need some playing time in Miami to support the shirt sales though
But yet its city who are cooking books and doing dodgy deals. Barca are nothing short of a disgraceJust read Barca are in talks with Miami to do a dodgy deal where Miami sign Messi then loan him to Barca for 18 months the dodgy wankers.
as I mentioned in an earlier post, shirt sales (just like the Beckham effect) and @kun pointed out that the World Cup 2026 could be a factor - imagine the raise in profile and credit if the GOAT played at host city. Lots of people in the USA would benefitWhat do Miami get out of that deal?
still seems a shit deal. Barca arent gonna pay any fees or wages you'd expect, shirt sales mostly go to the manufactuer. the WC angle might help but not enough for the club to get anything out of it. by the time he turns up in 18 months he'd be 38 ish.as I mentioned in an earlier post, shirt sales (just like the Beckham effect) and @kun pointed out that the World Cup 2026 could be a factor - imagine the raise in profile and credit if the GOAT played at host city.
