Well, as we haven't signed him and haven't put up ticket prices as a result, I wouldn't worry about it just yet. If we did sign him however and could sell 70,000 tickets for every game then I suspect ticket prices might rise simply due to demand.

It's the biggest concern for me with City at the moment.

Everything is going great from a football perspective, beyond our wildest dreams not so long ago, but I really fear of what's going to happen to our match crowd over the coming years. The rate and scale of ticket and season ticket price rises will be central to that.

Think we're long overdue a freeze on renewals as it is. The rags have had theirs frozen for circa 4 years now, and they have precisely the same direct debit instalment option for payment as well.

Really fear where we're going in that respect, to be honest. But I'll try not to derail this thread with my anxieties.

No they don't (unless it's just changed), they use some rip off external company called Zebra Finance for the DD option. I had a quick look but they seem to hide their interest rate away. Ours is 10 month interest free, unique as far as I'm aware.

Apparently City are a set of wankers - £299 for a season ticket!

No, they definitely do. I can't find a link for their pdf file but I used it last time this discussion came up. Exactly the same as our direct debit scheme, interest free payment once every 10 months.

They've also just announced they're set to have season ticket prices frozen for a 5th consecutive year next season:

I'd be very surprised if we had a freeze this summer. And we used to deride the scum for shitting on their support for the £.

And they do, but we're just as bad now, if not becoming worse.
