Watch out!!! That there may be some truth. He is a person very close to the ex-president of Barça and very friendly of Cat journalists with good info. I still believe that it is almost impossible to leave this month, but rumors are that Messi wants to leave the club.

That said, if there is any truth in us signing Messi, maybe all the hard yards have been done already.
 
that fake quote is the source of this Messi rumors, laughing at all the newspaper who are reporting this without any credibility what so ever.

He's not going to want to stay at Barca not having signed, particularly if he thinks another year there could set him back.
Barca are truly screwed if he doesn't renew. They either suffer the indignity of selling on the best player in the game, weeks after they had to do the same to his assumed successor or watch him walk for free. Either which way, the board are toast and the club is in full rebuild mode (and, indeed, many Barca fans would not be adverse to this outcome at all)

Ultimately, IMO, it's either fake or another last minute play to squeeze more money out of Blaugrana for his new contract.
