I think it’s a fair question, with Messi it will all be about Messi. It will be very different to how it has been at City. Saw a bit with Yaya but this would be another level.

The other point that for every million spend he would bring in 5, was so wide of the mark it could be a Jesse Lingard shot.

City’s revenue is not going to jump £250 million by having Messi. It could however jump 50-60 million meaning he pays for himself (although you still have to account for the wages issues with players like De Bruyne earning under half, money does funny things).

Not sure mate. I've had a look around and there's nothing on You Tube or elsewhere in terms of his ability to "fit in". Tells its own story that I suspect.

Personally I think he would upset the dynamics, and even if commercially it made sense I would be reluctant for the club to go down this route.
