Would love to have Messi at City just for two seasons.

I know people will say its a short sighted view, but just repeating those words "the best ever player played for my club" would be so sweet. We must never forget where we came from.

He would be fantastic for at least 2 seasons as well and it would further enhance our brand globally.

Hasn't been the same player for a while not just one game. He does need a move away from Barcelona but not to City where it could royally fuck us over for a very long time (even with us winning our appeal).

If KDB sustains his standards next season, and Messi and Ronaldo decline further, he could win the Balon D’or; I feel integrating Messi would alter the dynamic of the team, and subdue De Bruyne’s influence, and we owe it to him to ensure that the team is built around his genius now in his prime.

He joined us 5 years ago and has been a key element of our success in that time, whereas we’ve been trying to tempt Messi every year since the takeover, and he wasn’t interested. Now his legs are going and Barcelona are shite, he might well be interested, but the ship has sailed.

We're a club with a cracking history and have been the dominant force in England for a decade. I don't agree with the 'never forget where we came from' thing at all. We shouldn't bow down to anyone, he should want us now.

Not really. You think we will hammer Liverpool at anfield with Messi in the team and Leo scoring a hat trick, its a nice fantasy but not one I agree with.

Honestly Ray, I’ve read your posts over the last week or so when it comes to players and I’ve reached the conclusion that we will never agree. I guess we watch the game differently. C’est la vie.
