Not now as it would be too risky.
It would pretty much pay for itself. There would be very little risk. It’s only Messi himself who could make it happen and I’m not sure it’s something he’s willing to do at this stage of his career.

100% agree.

I don't buy into this idea that he is not as good anymore, load of rubbish.

He still scored a shed load of goals this season and produced moments of absolute genius. Messi under Pep with the players we have for 2-3 seasons would be a joy to behold. Might even tempt Pep to stay longer as well!

The ability is still the same, I just feel as though he is growing tired of the club and the people in charge that are constantly making appalling decisions, he doesn't have the same motivation. Bring him to the premier league and get him playing under a manager that would highly motivate him and he would be absolutely unbelievable.

Would even guarantee us the league and possibly a Champions League trophy.
He's incredible - the best. But
It’s a strange take considering he’s still putting up better numbers than pretty much everyone in Europe.
Oh, and we don’t play at 100mph, far from it.
No we don't. We did and this season slowed down - same as him, the stats are skewed to easier games. The ones where we need everyone working the press and the angles? We'd run the risk of him being a passenger.

And by the way, he's the best player of all time (that I've seen). I'd love to see him in blue and do it all as we'd hope. Maybe I'm just being a grump - I'd be concerned that's all

I'm certain people are saying they don't want him just to avoid any disappointment.

It's Lionel fucking Messi

Same with Cristano Ronaldo at Juventus? That signing hasn't worked out as they have planned and they will have a hard time in trying to shift him off their wage bill.

I mean, as a football fan why on earth would you turn your nose up at Messi! Haha!
Those in charge look at the future, us, as fans just want to see magic happen and if we got two years of magic that would be more than enough for me.

He is still currently the best player in the world.

As I said, put him in a Pep team and he won't be walking, that's for sure.
Can he run now? And is he still the best player in the world? Or have Kev and lewandowski surpassed him now?

Love Kev and Lewandoski is top class but we still haven’t got anybody playing the game at this moment in time who can touch him. It’s not going to last forever of course but right now and for the next couple of years he’s still the man.

Exactly this. Also, like yourself, I doubt it'll ever happen. I'll carry on dreaming though
