If it is going to happen it will be next year when his contract runs out and he can leave on a free. Even then it is highly unlikely, can't see a 33/34 year old wanting to move to another club when he has spent his entire career at Barca.

Ah yes, but they had the allure of a random Saudi team, a random Japanese team, the rags reserves and the mighty Brescia to tempt them, instead of one of the best teams on the planet and his mentor in charge

he's not the best player in the world now and certainly he will not be so over the next 2 years.

You guys look at football with backward looking eyes. Think back to the Bayern game last week. It was extraordinarily open and yet he was completely unable to influence it.
