Although I get your point and agree with it, what I said is that it was not suggested that Aguero is made to give up the shirt. The idea was Aguero loves Messi so much he'd probably offer the shirt up without being asked.
But I genuinely doubt if Messi signs he's going to force his best bud Aguero to change shirt number.
Yeah I get it, but I really don't think it's worth it. Agüero should play his last season with all the dignity he deserves. That includes the number 10 and a statue outside the stadium along with Vinnie and Dave.
Messi would only last two seasons tops. He's not the same body-type as Ronaldo, who is build to last. And I think we can both agree that what happened with Cristiano and Juventus is that the player continued to perform (because he is that good) but the club never got any closer to winning the Champions League. Same would happen to Messi here.
