Can someone tell me how can a player terminate his contract? Like what are the steps generally and what permissions does he usually need to carry out the process?

WTF?

800m debt and it's a magnificent club?

Nonsense, they are a great, historical club, but the club has been run appalling in the last 6-8 years.

150m Coutinho, 120m Griezmann just 2 names, applying waste of money.

A tired, dilapidated stadium.
fucking hell forgot they bought Griezmann!

Are you suggesting they are going to go bankrupt? What has been created at the Nou Camp has been magnificent, a model of club we have partly copied with great success as well. OK the cyclic nature of football has come home to roost but they will be back.

The issue with having short term presidents is that long term planning is forsaken. You may have watched Khaldoon talking about 5 and 10 year plans, for Barca planning is around the next presidential election. Also the gamble of having only two teams with any power, means the teams below are slowly becoming bankrupt, and have not the turnover to deal with the debt.
Sprinkle in a little bit of Tebas and you have a recipe for disaster.

If Messi sticks to his guns this will be resolved.

Every day that goes by is a day closer to the start of the season. Only thing the manager will be asked about is Messi, the only thing players will talk about is Messi. The entire transfer plan is up in the air and dependant on Messi going or staying.
They don't have the squad to compete with a motivated Messi and sure they don't have one with an unhappy Messi.

And sprinkle in the Spanish , P.J.Swales and you have an utter car crash of a club!

And Dembele who was around 108m!

On the back of Pep and Messi is why now they ain’t run very well or they wouldn’t be 800m in debt would they!?
That’s a concern for us if we get Messi! Maybe we shouldn’t?...:)
Well they've spent 100s of millions on shite tbh haven't they ?

So it's not that great nowardays is it ?
No, it isn’t great at the moment, but the memories are (dippers who weren’t alive to see their heyday still glorify in theirs!).

Do you wonder why players are giving La Liga a wide berth when the president is an obnoxious, fat unhealthy gobshite ?
Tebas is a pig, a fat degenerate xenophobe, I am enjoying La Liga being in shambles while he is president, and a lot of scandals opening up on him recently as well.

You have to ask, any potential targets Barça have/Had must now be having seconds thoughts based on how they are treating their greatest ever player right? They must think, wow if they can Fuck Messi over then how will I be treated long term? They are not promoting themselves very well here.

They were in fantastic shape for a period of time, but they & Real Madrid have both been trying to maintain their status by just chucking money at it.

It's not so much terminating the contract more a case of buying them out.

The player needs to inform the club within 2 weeks of the end of the season they want to leave providing they have served 2 years (if aged over 28) of their current deal.

Messi has done that. The difference with him though is he claims that within his contract there is a clause allowing him to leave for free as opposed to FIFA calculating the figure.

I wonder if this has been eye-opening for some players eyeing up spain as the place to spend your career...

Lol I posted the same thing at the same time. Players must be looking at this and thinking screw that. I tell you what would be priceless, if Real commented saying they’d never treat their players that way... Barça would squirm big time.
