Don't worry I'm off so I think the financial debate will subside - I shouldn't have responded to being falsely quoted. I'm sure we'll be absolutely fine and none of the other clubs will bat an eyelid.

As a fan with no knowledge whatsoever of finance or the law, i just think that as a club with one of the biggest revenue streams in world football and only growing, why cant we sign Messi?

This discussion wouldn't happen any other club in a similar position.

Jokes aside, as someone that has often gotten **** about my profession and the insufferable poshness and boring nature of it (which, in all honesty, is fair enough), I do genuinely appreciate @projectriver, @Prestwich_Blue, and a few others that regularly stick their neck out to offer their expertise.

During the CAS appeal I think most blues found their posts informative and insightful. And the financial implications of this transfer (closer to my expertise, so it does interest me, though I have no experience in the commercial side of football) are a relevant and important topic, even if a bit dull at times.

My only goal was to defuse some of the seriousness and tension that was starting to permeate the thread, which often leads to handbags, something I think most of us could do without right now.

Crikey, you’re onto it too? It looks like he’s changed his Instagram name and removed the 10.

Messi’s dad is now following him so I assume he’s privately messaged Kun during his meeting with Bartomeu and told him El Barto can go fuck himself and to remove the number 10 from his username as little Leo will rocking up to Ashton New Road any day now.

We're onto something here mate, it must have been in the last half hour this has happened.
I am putting the crack BM team of investigators on it!

They’ll blow this case open in no time.

Those splinters will start to hurt im telling you.

One of the biggest revenues in world football, only growing and playing in the richest league but its only City that cant afford to sign him or pay his wages?

Sorry.....not having it and i dont think ferran or Khaldoon are either any longer.

If you’re going to be a sarcastic ****, at least learn the new technology and do it ****ing right!

I suspect we might be seeing an interview soon if Barcelona are going to start telling the press they will readily sue Messi for €700m if he leaves.

Threats of denouncing show a very weak hand. That is a desperate threat.

They basically have one massive threat, the €700m figure.

The gambit seems to be publish it everywhere, make it front and centre of the conversation, and hope it scares City off and they don't start poking holes or looking at the fine print.

Let's go to court then. They will end up paying us. Let's see if their Lawyers beat ours

If we do get Messi all the twats saying the Foden should move to grow can shove their opinions so far up their arses they could see daylight. Foden, having learnt from the likes of David Silva and KDB then playing and learning with Messi! I bet Jadon Sancho would regret leaving...!
