That was literally a random guy in the friggin bedroom talking about Messi on YouTube before he goes back to wanking and playing FIFA20. Not totally convinced he is 'close to the knowledge'

the practicalities were laid out plainly enough to me.. not sure you’d need to be exactly ITK... we’ll see I suppose..

I genuinely can not work out how the accusation of bartomeu's corruption this morning would affect things. Will it put supposedly planned talks and meetings on hold? will it mean they maybe rush through to some resolution? does it end up with someone else taking over either temporarily or permanantly? Is it a total curveball or nothing at all.
It may have a long term effect in that a Board continuity candidate at the march Presidential elections is less likely to be successful. That might be a good outcome for Messi. But doubtful it will have a short term impact. Members will say "Resign!" but I doubt he will.

Same, don't think it changes anything really. The guys leaving in March next year, after the presidential elections, hes already going to be on trial for tax fraud in the Neymar case, so this is just another thing to add to that stuff. If they expedite him going to jail, or being thrown off the board because of this, maybe it means Messi gets what he wants, no Barto? But he would have to be happy with the team not being competitve, maybe he wants to finish his career with trying to help Barca get back to where they were? Fuck knows.

A judge has to determine if the police evidence is actionable before we look in to deep at possible outcomes really.

I think what it does do without having to play the guessing game is weaken any goodwill or backing he may have had. The rest of his board will suddenly be much more concerned with possible legal action against them than keeping an unhappy player tied up in legal rope with the hope they can bully him into staying. The fans will have more reason to dislike him and the press will not be as forgiving.

The incoming chap will also be more bullish and confident of undermining him as it obviously helps his start as president. He can legitimately have some breathing room on the basis he has to clean up the mess Bartomeu left him. The worse Batomeu looks the more goodwill he will have from the start of his presidency.

The timing is interesting........

Put yourselves in the shoes of the messi camp. Could you trust a guy that had done all the rings he has done over the last years to messi, to others, lied about recruitment of players as well?

Then just as you are starting to negotiate this drops in - it’s all about trust right now and this will have dented the Barca position big time.

As I say - the timing is interesting.

We go again...

lol i don't blame him. He could state it is "a lovely sunny day" and he would be quoted as "Looks like rain again". He was pretty quick yesterday getting it out that he did not say "yes" to the question about looking at Messi staying. You can imagine him when he got word of how it was reported "are you fucking kidding me, i never fucking said that, jesus christ i best say summat sharpish" hehe.

If he did not know the full bullshit circus that is European footy media before; he bloody well does now.

Everyone quick to assume this has something directly linked to City or Messi but don’t forget that they sacked the clubs legal firm this week who will of known everyone’s dirty secrets. Add to that two other players were told to fuck off via text message and you suddenly have 3 other parties who now hold a grudge, there’s a 4th in any hopeful presidential candidate before City/Messi need to get involved. Timing wise I agree it’s fucked them over and no doubt done on purpose but I don‘t think it’s come from the Messi camp directly.
