Little gems to visit in the UK

Did that just this April, Bamburgh and Seahouses, beautiful place
Yes a beautiful part of the world, Alnwick is a nice place with a castle and further south Seaburn has a nice seafront and beach. Fellow City fan LS Lowry used to take his holidays there. Great fish and chips there as well.

Dorset is an excellent call. Corfe Castle, Portland, Weymouth plus the New Forest is near by, as is Portsmouth and it's maritime history, Chichester with it's Roman-ish walls, Goodwood and Arundel and it's castle.
My mum and her side of the family are from Bridport in Dorset. I've fond memories of going down there for holidays as a kid.

Everywhere is interesting. I travel the country with Mrs Unicorn visiting the Good Beer Guide. Staying in Ramsgate harbour tonight; Thanet is gorgeous.

Also loads of spaces on the Isle of Portland below Weymouth. Chesil beach outside, not posh!

Enjoy your travels.
Done Portland and Weymouth, both amazing, not done anything in Kent yet bar drive through for the Chunnel so that sounds good, always fancied Margate after the only fools episode
In fact, Chichester and the surrounding areas is a beautiful place. Little places like Bosham are just beautiful.
Did Chichester only a couple of weeks ago, I stayed at Littlehampton and got the bus, not heard of Bosham though, will take a look

I'd echo the sentiment and currently on our first trip up the Northumberland coast. Seahouses is indeed beautiful with a quaint fishing harbour that is the starting point for the boat trips to the Farne islands, a twitchers paradise full of shags, Puffins, gulls, Turns and Eiders. The Farne Islands are also home to thousands of grey seals and the return trip was only £12.50 return.

Lots of characters on the boat donned in canvas bucket hats with zenith 10 mile zoom cameras hung from necks that projected kaleidoscopically from the camera Lense. The excitement on the boat as we approached Farne was beyond insane as they all hustled and postured to be first off our landing craft like some inane scene from Private Ryan. I took all our pictures using a 12-gig finger zoom on my Samsung 9 plus and pleased enough with the results.

Some great towns along the coast, Tynemouth has a great chippy, Longsands, enjoy your trip mate.

Yeah...it's nice there. St Davids and Fishguard. I prefer further up the coast at Barmouth, though: View attachment 47160View attachment 47159
Think I'd like to do the full coast I've heard Newquay is nice as well, tbh I've done all North Wales as far as harlech but the only times I've been to South Wales is for Swansea or Cardiff away so the whole area would be new to me
