Liverpool 2016/17

As much as some people don't want to accept it, building from the back gives a much better chance of winning the league. Shame we have seen it as a secondary issue for a few years now. I am more than happy for Liverpool to defend like idiots though, long may it continue.

There is a saying in American football: Offense wins games; defence wins championships. There is more than a ring of truth to that.

Bobby had the right idea; get the defence solid and settled first, then play more expansive football. Ask Tottenham, the rags and many others if Mancini knew what he was doing.

aaaaaand again:

Fantastic, Jim.

Would have been slightly better with an image of Milner's face on there somewhere.

After all, he left City to win trophies and play central midfield.

Think we are a bit harsh on Milner. He did well for us and is playing for a huge club at the end of his career - probably made him a few million quid and he openly admitted he agonised over the decision. Leeds, Newcastle, villla, city and Liverpool. What a career that is.

Lost all my respect for him after his bloody goal celebration against us. ****.

I felt the same until stony pointed out he was muted when he scored against Villa but went nuts when he scored against us.

I fucking don't, mate. He deserves all the vitriol that comes his way - fuck the boring ****.

I am glad he's playing leftback where he is, that says to me he's not good enough to get in the midfield ahead of Can and Henderson. How the fuck he thought he was better than Silva, Fernandinho or Yaya is ridiculous.

Fuck him and the dipper bastards, hope they are happy together. I am sure his fat signing on fee had fuck all to do with his decision.

@stony sums this prick up very well.

And this is what the shaft master said before Liverpool's ill-fated loss to Seville last year.......

James Milner: I left Manchester City for Liverpool to win silverware… now is my big chance to show why

Since Steven Gerrard returned to Liverpool:

- Liverpool 2-3 Swansea.
- Liverpool 0-1 Southampton. (Out of EFL Cup)
- Liverpool 1-2 Wolves. (Out of FA Cup)

Ooooops.
