Yaya got £54000 so at least the law is consistent......not!
It probably is though. I'd imagine Yaya is earning something approaching 2 and a half times the money of Firmino, so the fine will be that much greater. No conspiracy, no agenda, just the law. For what it's worth, I'd have put them both in clink for three months.

I see their outgoing chief exec Ian Ayre is banging on, yet again, about English clubs falling behind their European rivals because they don't negotiate individual tv deals. He's suggesting this discussion is still live and that the 'bigger' clubs should get a lot more than the rest. The dippers bring this one up at least once a year to be fair, but I hope they don't get any support from City on this one. I think it's just another desperate attempt by them to become relevant once again, as their glory years fall away quicker than the bloke in the iron diving suit in the London marathon did.

If Ian Ayre is talking about clubs that actually win league titles in the premier league era and clubs that have actually won more than one single league cup in the last decade he is doing his club a disservice. Liverpool are not a big club, the sooner they realise this the sooner they could actually build something rather than getting over excited about being top of the league in Autumn and potless in February.

The tv deal works the way it is now and makes the league competitive, who wants a league like Spain and Germany where it's the same teams winning it year in year out.

He is not talking about clubs doing individual deals, he is talking about how many people tune in to watch certain teams, especially the overseas fan. He reckons the Scouse Scum and Arse should get more money from the current pot because they attact more fans. In is a little bit like when the same clubs insisted that home clubs kept all the gate money, it keeps the rich rich. They dont have to win anything and yet they still get more money, typical scouse mentality that !!
