The problem that you have is as your from has dipped (please note how I manged to get that in), so Everton has drastically improved.
If i we're you, I would be extremely worried that Everton could over take you.

I didn't say that but seeing as we have won the title twice recently we are in a good position to give it a good go

We have finished 2nd a few times so maybe we are in a better position. Last time we won it was over 20 years ago so I think we are in the stronger position.

Saxon's right, as it stands, we don't know what Pep will or will not do. Liverpool fans believed Klopp would start turning things around in his second season, and for a while it looked like he had...
We don't know what's around the corner for us either.

I would think most 'neutral' fans wouldn't rate the Liverpool team (as individuals) all that highly. Arguably, Klopp's done well with what he's got, but Liverpool's inconsistency especially against much lesser opposition has been their downfall. We are prone to that too, along with not taking our chances.

Of course the thread is about Liverpool, but it's hard no to make a comparison with City. We're City fans and our perspective is City based. Wenger, Klopp, Guardiola and Mourinho are all examples of managers under scrutiny right now - none of them doing seriously badly, just failing to shine like Conte is.

I agree, your point was perfectly reasonable IMO. I see us, you lot and Arsenal as all being fairly similar, can be devastatingly good on our day but way too flaky to be consistent. We may have turned a corner but the way this season has gone, there's often been a horrible surprise around the corner just when we think we are getting our shit together, hopefully not this time though. Fingers crossed your horrible form continues and we can get top 3, ideally with both you and united missing out on top 4. To be fair to Klopp, I think he probably has the worst squad in the top 6 so if he does get a top 4 spot he will have done well.

I think the squad is appalling but I also think we don't have a midfielder of the calibre of Gerrard, Scholes or Lampard. We also lack a quality CF.

Couthinio, Lallana, mane and firminio are good but too much is being asked of them.

We need at least one quality recognised CF.
