What? What!!!! I say this with the utmost respect...wtf are you going on about? I'm not shying away from anything. What do you want us to do?

Oh I get it. You want me to say, we're the shittest small club in the world who got lucky and we should know our place. Hail Liverpool. Hail the rags.

Happy now?

Nonsense man.

But we have benefitted massively from money, and our current status is a direct result of it. You are shying away from it, because you want us to say 'with the players we have' rather than 'with the money we've spent' - yet the two go hand in hand. We only have those players because of the money.

You post is so melodramatic. There's no need for it.

My point was that whilst many Liverpool and United fans can be arrogant and assume a divine right to be at the top of the tree, we as City fans aren't immune from showing some arrogance sometimes. Long before the money arrived, some fans would still say 'we belong in the top tier'. We belong where our results get us.

I heard somewhere yesterday - it might have been on talkshite's Full Time Phone-in on the way home - that Liverpool has always been a club that challenges for trophies.

So they weren't really a mid-table Division Two side when Shankley took over, then?

'Always' is the claptrap fans come out with. We have 'always been', or 'always will be'. Things change!

Like the Dave Sexton era at our quiet neighbours (and, more than likely, the wee Davey one as well), that part of the Murkysiders' ist'ree, La, has been airbrushed out of existence.

Liverpool are a modern day version of late 70's City. Best days well behind them but they haven't realised it yet.

Clinging on forlornly and stubbornly to the receding dream of recapturing their heyday.

Gradually realising the game has moved on and passed them by.

It's glorious.

If only their fans could realise this, big pressure on them this sat evening against Spurs a loss could well see them plummet down the table, they really need to stop the rot with a win,I don't think they'll get it ....

Believe they've been around for a while but these leaked emails from FSG are quite tasty.

Biggest critics of us seem to be supporters of clubs that are most focussed on financial gain.
