As I said, both sets of fans were attacking each other. It's simply not the case that it was all Liverpool. The only innocents in this tragedy were those Juve fans who were nowhere near the "front line", so to speak. And, sadly, they were the ones who paid the ultimate price. The Juve hools who were attacking Liverpool section and who then retreated were every bit as guilty of causing the tragedy as the Liverpool hools who were attacking the Juve section and who then advanced.

All of that has a ring of truth to it, and quite frankly, it could have happened to any of a number of English clubs at that time (including Chelsea!) - it's the mealy mouthed, inconsistent and intellectually dishonest way that Liverpool FC as an institution (and those associated with the club) have spoken about and addressed the tragedy in the last 32 years that particularly rankles with many, I imagine.

I've not seen much of him if I'm being honest, but I don't think he will feature in the first team at all. I thought this was a 'signing of the future' so to speak. Like Grujic.

I like Clichy. He's got a great attitude and he's been good for us over the past years but bloody'ell, did the Liverpool scouts not watch him this season?

Takes a man to say sorry when they know they have done wrong.

The refusal to accept their part in that tragic day doesn't sit right with me im afraid.

But what was Liverpool's part? The game was played in a stadium that wasn't fit for purpose and was badly organised and policed. Very much like Hillsborough actually apart from the fact that there was no violence involved in the latter. Had Liverpool FC played some part in inciting that violence then they would have something to apologise for but they didn't.
