interesting..my memories of Lee are as a work a day midfielder..not technically astute..pretty much like jordan.

think its best to limit this to club captains..ie season long.therefore jimmy-i want to play centre mid and for england at the euros so i,m leaving-milner is not to be considered.

There will have been Liverpool captains with less footballing ability than Henderson. People (quite frequently Liverpool fans themselves) often forget how ordinary Liverpool were as a club for much of their...errrr...history. Certainly they were utterly shite for most of the 1950's.
