The knobheads are complaining about how United have refused to make their training facilities available to the Dipper squad before the second leg next week. Apparently we have been allowed to use Everton's training ground and if we knock the red scouse out, that will be the reason.

By the way, for all the shite in the media about big european nights at klanfield, this is their first year in the CL knockouts in 10 years. Of their entire squad only Lovren, Milner and Salah had played a CL knockout game before this season.
Yeah but the crowd will be unleashed.......#shittingit.

London Marathon in 3 weeks - so 18 miler tonight and hopefully a pleasant surprise at the result when I get back.
Some great Churchillian posts on here, but have seen us freeze too often at anfield.
A perceieved, if irrational, hatred has a big part to play in sport and candlepool have that in spades.
I know; man up , grow some etc

Firstly, big respect for doing the Marathon

Secondly, why on earth would you not put off your 18 miler until tomorrow so you can watch arguably one of our biggest games since the takeover?

Got a feeling Pep going to throw some kind of curveball into the starting 11.

Someone hinted at it earlier in the thread (Tolmie?)

Remember at OT when no-one had a clue who was playing where up front for the first 20 minutes as the movement was so good and the front line were so interchangeable?

Same again tonight

And there will be red flares. But people should think about buying up some candle wax shares just in case the flares have to be abandoned in favour of mass Scouse mourning next week.

Needs to have Sterling on the bench,on for last 20-25 mins, then he can take the abuse for that amount of time,I'd start Bernardo tonight, without a doubt.

I can't see Delph starting,and Danilo frightens me to death,stick with Laporte I reckon/

Ederson
Walker
Kompany
Otamendi
Laporte
Silva
DeBruyne
Ferna
Sane
Bernardo
Jesus

Jim Tolmie going to play - that would be a curve ball.

Pep said yesterday that if he told the players to change our approach for this game they would think that he was scared. Wouldnt the same apply if he left Sterling out, other than for purely tactical reasons?

What would the players (other than Bernardo) think if Pep tells them before the game that this a normal game, but by the way I'm dropping one of our most in form players because I'm worried that their fans will boo him and he doesnt like it?
Yep I get it and I’ve heard all the arguments for and against but it’s the decision I’d make, he is an in form player but that is not the player we get when he’s playing them, he looks scared to loose it for fear of jeers and he just plays it simple
With all the shit Sterling has dealt with in his career I’m sure he would get over being told he’s sitting this one out
