With Stones out (which I didn’t expect) I’d say:

Akanji Dias Ake Gvardiol
Nunes Bernardo
Savinho KDB Foden
Haaland

Gvardiol doing his usual LW role, Foden coming inside. Nunes and Bernardo holding midfielders. Would ideally bench Bernardo but there are no other options with Kovacic out currently

But grealish for deffo. And no Lewis gundogan.

There are still plenty of points for a top 4 finish. Currently we aren't looking capable of putting a run together but it is isn't completely beyond us.

Yeah we've missed Dias horrendously. I didn't mind Josko being dropped today because he's made unacceptable mistakes recently but fuck me we'll be miles better with a back 4 of Akanji Dias Ake Gvardiol and getting rid of total liability Walker. The Forest game is season defining. We simply have to win.

It is what it is. At least a few players are back and our bench looked strong. Hopefully we'll get back to back victories against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace which will set us up for Juventus and putting the rags back in their box.

Realistically, the title is highly unlikely but we're still in two Cup competitions and have time to get some fitness and momentum into the squad.
Still loads to play for and be optimistic about.
