Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Kane was Pep’s choice IMO. Haaland is fantastic. Wouldn’t change him for the world - neither would Pep I’m sure - but there needs to be a bit of adapting from both Pep in how he plays but also Haaland in how he makes things go his way rather than being reliant on others.

IMO anyway.
I don't know how he can do with this but I believe that Pep has to find a way to bring Erling into play more. Can we find a way to enable others to play off of him effectively? He may like the idea of a more active role where he operates in a greater range of space. He's going to get bored with his current role at some point.

Only mentioned it because I’ve been pilloried numerous times over the last few years for saying it.

Size, strength and speed, coupled with the technical ability to play in this squad, is the Golden Ticket!
I thought Szoboszlai set the pace for whole match. He was seemingly everywhere, all at once, like Kulusevski for Spurs earlier this month.

There is literally zero chance that anyone outside of this hallucinatory forum is so much as thinking about firing Pep.
There will be many trolls in the public square suggesting this. Sacking him, and directly after agreeing a two year extension with him would be humiliating for the club, as well as Pep. He's built killer squads before and he will have plenty of financial backing going forward, so let's give him a chance. Bringing in a couple of mids and a right-back in January will do wonders for the morale of our beleaguered warriors, excepting Kyle, of course.

If you mean “get the cheque book out,” I agree. If you mean “think about firing Pep,” you’ve lost your mind!

The option of firing Pep will be subject of Board discussion at some point of that there is no doubt.

It will (should) be quickly dismissed of course, but if CL football is at risk for next season, the discussion may get a bit more serious

Top 4 is essential.

And you know of someone who, in the event Pep isn’t close, will swoop in and save us?

Pray tell…
