Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Anyone noticed how many of our defenders run with their arm up for offside despite VAR being in since 19/20 season? Kyle Walker chased back with his arm in the air for about 15 yards at one point.

Pretty sure there’s a reason we don’t see sprinters do that. It’s up there with ‘hands behind the back in the area’ mentality. It’s ok to give them a free shot at goal as long as 2 penalties a season are avoided. Thankfully the rule change sees less of it.

Not close to Liverpool and lucky it was only 1-0 at half time.
2nd half Liverpool let us have the ball and possession of what came … nothing. Not for us at least.

We need time to climb the ladder. And see where it gets us. Way too early to write us off and it’s pure sentiment to say we will win nothing.

Not good of late obviously. Turn the tide first. That’ll take not too long hopefully.

Totally agree, I think if we had got Kane, we would be very different and much much better,,,, might have tempted that Sonny lad to join us too...what a combination!

I’m happy we got Haaland over Kane personally. Especially given he drove us to a treble!

Haaland and Kane would’ve been a deadly combination!

The title was gone before today's game and the result at Liverpool, like I said earlier Arsenal will win the title because they have the strongest squad and a good system.
I think I agree

After watching arsenal in lisbon and at West Ham with odegaard back… they’re much better than Liverpool who I thought were nothing special at all to be honest

It would be funny as fuck if Chelsea pipped them both but that’s a long shot

Liverpool’s easiest game of the season, Southampton and Ipswich ran them closer, they must have thought ‘Ken Dodds diddy men’ when they saw our midfield

Like I've said for months, continue to play the same way we have all season we will continue to struggle, regardless of what players are available.

Heard pep say afterwards in justifying his selection that he wanted more control, why? We cannot control the game with the squad we've got so why try to? Being slightly less shit at trying to control the game isnt helping us at all. It's the same as if we tried to play long ball, everything in the air route 1 football with a squad of players under 5ft.

Come up with something different that has a chance of working because this shower of shite doesn't work and will not suddenly start working.

Unless we see a catastrophic collapse from the dippers, the season is done in December. That's not an over reaction, that's reality. A truly disastrous season that only shows signs of getting worse. Top 4/5 is now the aim before Christmas and we've got a battle on for that as we will be dropping several more points and places down the table before January where we'll have to splash the cash to chase teams and save champions league football.

Look at Haaland’s movement here:

Then look at Aguero’s here:

Shows the difference. Doku looks up and sees nobody, all players stationary rather than making runs across defenders/the keeper - basically statues waiting for the ball to miraculously get to their feet rather than making it happen themselves.

I was screaming at the telly for Haaland to get across the front of Van Dijk, dreadful.
