Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

If he has lost the locker room, it would be inevitable, but short of that, it won't happen. It appears to me that our players aren't running because they are beyond physical exhaustion. If so, is that down to year-round fixture congestion and the effect of a zillion injuries to a small active core of players?
Its partly due to age -foreseeable.
Maybe its due to poor medical and fitness training. The whole team look leggy ,even the younger ones and new ones.

Can you see us picking up points in our next 3 games? We could be mid table by January. The tactics and performances individually and collectively are woeful
I expect some points before January but as I said, the poor results will continue with this approach and Pep seems fairly convinced his approach is sound.

The fact that Pep thought starting Gundo and Rico would give us control at Anfield beggars belief, has Pep not watched any of our recent games?
This is it, I don't think Pep actually thought it would give us control, he just wants control so bad that its the only approach he will try and that's the best he can put out in an attempt to get it.

It's like trying to play with pace on the break with a bunch of attacking players who run a 20 second 100m. you can stick the guy in that runs a 19 seconds 100m instead but it's still going to fail miserably. We cannot control games so why isn't he coming up with a different approach rather than continuing to try and put square pegs in round holes?

I’m currently overseas but unfortunately when City are playing I have to watch it’s impossible for me to sleep otherwise.
It’s a life long addiction I suppose.
Pep will sort it, keep the faith Blue
I can tell you Shirley that I have spent many nights awake at 3:00 a.m. and 4 am watching City but as I expected an embarrassing outcome to the game, and a Liverpool onslaught I decided to go to bed last night fearing for the worst.
Chicken? .....yes, I wanted to hide under the covers after our last few performances ;)

We should know by now, and this applies to City teams down the years, that when you go to Anfield, the first 20-25 minutes is an onslaught, and they go all out for that important first goal.
I just want to see a City team that battles, and doesn't succumb to this.

Every season we go there and literally shit ourselves in that first half!

Surely we can get some players in who are willing to battle and go there with some self-belief!!
Hard to criticise Pep, but im going too anyway. There is a lot in what you say. Year after year we are atrocious for the first 20/30 mins and are chasing our tail. Let’s be honest, we should have been 3 or 4 down today. Got very lucky to be 1 nil at HT. Surely for once we should try to kill the game early. Pack the midfield. Ride out the storm. Then after weathering the onslaught try and pick them off. It’s like groundhog day time after time and the inevitable always happens….

I shall not start a winger at Anfield.

Not this season not last season not last last season

Shite, shite and more shite.

I don't care that we've lost 5/6. Shit happens. But we've played the exact same way in all 6 games, learned no lessons, and make the same mistake time after time after time after time after MOTHERFUCKING TIME!

Our defenders dicking around with the ball under no pressure, until the pressure's on. In which case we either kick it long and lose it, OR JUST FUCKING LOSE IT (see lead up to pen).

No bollocks. No fight. No ideas. No lessons. No togetherness. No clue.

And no, I'm not saying Pep out, but he has to learn and change something. Because this is absolutely pathetic. Everyone knows exactly what to expect apart from our own fucking players.

Sorry to say but Gundogan was awful today.
Nice to See Dias back but we've totally lost the plot. Without Rodri, Kovacic and Stones defensive midfield is a compleye and utter shambles.
