They don't have a psychological edge. They outplayed us in the first half in the FA Cup, but we played without Ederson, Dias, Laporte, Walker, Rodri, KDB...In the other games, we created more than them, but suffered from poor finishing and were a bit *unlucky* with refereeing decisions.

Nobody knows what's going to happen if we meet them in the CL. Maybe Haaland will score a hattrick? He missed about 5 big chances in the last 2 games vs Liverpool, he's likely to score in the next games.
You're right, nobody does know but I think most of us have a fair idea of what will happen.

Was at the game so didn't see the VAR decision on the goal. Just watched it this morning and I'm still bitter about it.
As Shearer always says where's the clear and obvious error? Taylor was weak there he should have told the VAR guy to fck off before he went to the monitor. 100 percent that goal stands if they score it

There were lots of mediocre performances and some poor ones. The player I was left the most frustrated by was Foden, up against a 37 year old he never ran at him once. Milner probably couldn’t believe how easy his game was. Cancealo is ok going forward but should never be left as the only defender as he is useless at it. Pep really needs to learn to stop over respecting good teams and trust his usual formation as it normally works.
Bang on with that fella. It seems Pep is insecure when it comes to the big games and doesn't trust his team as weird as that sounds so attempts to over compensate with strange formations and tactics. Agree with what you said about Foden but that has to be because he was playing to instructions - I honestly can't believe it's anything else. We should have bombarded Liverpool's right hand side from the first whistle just as we did with United's left hand side in derby. I also can't believe he didn't bring Grealish on after they scored. Jack must be waking up this morning thinking just what the fuck do I have to do to get a run out in these big games? I have no problem with us getting beat by any team but it was in the manner we got beat yesterday which is very disappointing. This one is squarely on Pep 100%.

He is a RB/LB that simply can't do his job, ie defend.
Why does everyone need a player to blame? If you end up with a modern attacking right back as your last line of defense against a player like Salah then something has gone drastically wrong before that. Tactically we were not at the races yesterday which led to all sorts of breakaway chances for them, that is only the managers fault (as much as I love him and hope he stays forever)

On reflection it’s same old same old . Liverpool go toe to toe with us and disrupt our slow passing build up. Our tempo from the kick off was sluggish. We only strung passes together in our own half whilst they competed for everything in their half and outnumbered and outfought any attempt at attack .
Absorb the pressure and spring forward at our defence which without Walker has no pace.
Even Solskaer had figured that out.

I find this irritating too. It's generally KDB and Foden stood by the ball too and they both appear to struggle to put a decent ball in. They are two of our best players at shooting too, both stood there away from the goal. Last season our corners were good, not sure why they should have deteriorated that much.
Our corners have been bad for the past 10 years

Surely playing to instructions, the whole team were too slow in the build up and our shape was all over the shop.

Still annoyed at that shit show!

I was hoping for quick start, one that would be "RIP Liverpool'", however we started the match so lacklustre, that by tenth minutes we'd opened the door, let them in, sat them down, gave them tea, biscuits and counselled their previous "shite form" right out of the bastard window and like all good counsellors then preceeded to give them hope and the direction they'd been missing over the last 8 or so games.

Thankfully it had nothing to do with Pep, we know this because Pep was in the dugout 30 minutes before kick off, so it has absolutely nothing to absolutely do with Pep absolutely not.....is that clear!!!

The thought of Cancelo LB with Foden versus that twat Milner, fuck me Pep we'd have fooked them and nailed the coffin shut on the 47 year old judas prick's square head! A massive let off for klopp and a poor decision by Pep.

KDB as a winger? He does create there, no denying, but someone else against Roberts would have freed Kev to operate in some serious positions. Over thinking Pep.

Poor Erling was left playing against two to three defenders/midfielders all match, he had no room to operate, I've seen more room in a hoarders spare bedroom. Had Pep done a similar job with Salah, poor Cancelo wouldn't have found himself 1v1 with the whippet!

Pep fucked up, which is fine, it happens, but to not really change it and just watch it is a sin.

We don't often see Pep under think his over thinking, but when he does we lose without effort or change. It's frustrating, frustrating because you know what this team can do and with that defence which Klopp put out, Gomez and Milner!!!!!!!.....Gutted!!

And another thing, whats with this dilemma we find ourselves in when we're attacking and find ourselves in a 3 versus 2 advantage in the opponents half? We resembles a bunch of vicars who've walked in on a group swingers potatoes deep.....We look uncomfortably, scared, and praying for normality to the safe hands of devine Shape and fookin Possession!! Fuck that shit, go for their throats!!

It's vital we learn the art of the "quick attacks" and punish teams, especially in the CL.

Come on Pep, sort it out.....more cut throat please and less shape and possession when in key advantages.

Fookin still livid...

A modern attacking right back is what the likes of Alaba, Ferland Mendy and Reece James are. Joao, like Trent are false fullbacks.
