Yeah, Cancelo acknowledging to Phil there that it was all on him.
But have to gree, Kev looked pretty off it, maybe that was down to . He did have a few breaks and was occupying space in between the lines a few takes, but he just didn't look at the races today, and a lot of others were off too much of their passing.
It wasn’t all on him. De Bruyne has a lot to answer for in that goal. That free kick was fucking abysmal.

I am putting this loss (our first of the season no less) firmly at the feet of Pep.

Say what you want about Joao’s mistake—and there is quite a lot to be said—but it should have never been 0-0 by that point in the first place.

The system was wrong, the tactics were wrong, and the sub (1 of 5) were wrong. Our lads generally didn’t play that well, to be sure, but I think a large part of that was down to the formation and tactics: Kev was wasted on the RW, Ilkay was unnecessary, if not actually a hinderance with his instructions, Phil seemingly being told to retain possession at all costs rather than test Milner.

Pep is a genius, and I wouldn’t swap him for any other manager in the world, but he got this one wrong.
He gets quite a lot of the big games wrong when you think about it. He's had one of the best, if not the best teams in Europe for around the last 10 years and has cocked up the CL every single year.

I've said several times that over the course of a season, he's proven that he can manage and rotate a squad better than anyone else. But in a head-to-head, must-win game, I think he's meh at best. Of course this was not a must-win game and Pep will probably just chalk it down as just one of the 38 games and 3 points lost, no big deal. But it's more than that when we play Liverpool or United and I am pretty pissed off right now, as I always am when we lose to these wankers.

Well done on bottling it and allowing the biggest **** club that has ever walked the earth to still think the sun shines out of their arses. They had the chance to shut the most arrogant, entitled, seige mentally twats ever up and the FUCKING wasted it. Shameful. Set of weak ass cunts.

Voted for a Loss as we always shit the bed here, Pep overthinks it and we never get fair officiating as we saw again.
All on Pep this.

Cancelo should not play v the best team, awful defensively as we saw again and failure to address the left back position is costing us.
And get Kev off set pieces, he is simply awful at them most of the time. Get someone in who can actually coach us on them.

Truth is we have not been great this season, had a fairly easy run of fixtures esp at home and now dropped points at Villa, Newcastle and today after a very poor away CL performance in the week. Haalands goals have probably papered over the cracks.
Just try and stay in contention till the break and go from there

What a surprise that wasn't.
Another week of the usual tubthumpers going on about humiliating them, dicking them, embarrassing them lol. Got our number and detest us so strongly it will always be our achilles heel. Terrible performance yet again. No bottle, no fight.

That's the dippers as well as Arsenal kick started by us .

It was the worst possible performance at the worst possible game compounding by the unneccessary tinkering in a big game by pep. But it's still 10pts between us and them and I'll take that any day. However this idea that Arsenal are gonna bottle it isn't a brilliant take right now.

We move on unfortunately poor performance not enough belief and wrong set up,but it’s a loss and only 3 points nothing else,Liverpool had to win or dare I say it top 4 would start to become a reach, but again Taylor affects a game involving us let definite fouls go all over the pitch yet rules out a goal for a really soft foul if it even was one ..

Very poor from the players. People will blame Pep, but not Cancelo, or Haaland's horrible shooting and control, or Bernardo awful passing and slowing us down all the time, Foden being invisible, KDB invisible 2nd half, concentration mistakes from the defense. I feel the tactics were right, we controlled everything until they scored(except Salah which comes from a stupid mistake from our part). And we had clear chances that were not scored because our players individual performances (control) was really poor.

Hard to figure out that display, We looked good in spells of the game, Other parts we were horrible. Alot of it has to fall on Pep as there was absolutely no need to change a winning formula, We are in tremendous form of late and changed our way of playing to accommodate the Dippers. Pep has shown Liverpool far too much respect today!

As for the players, I thought the standout players was Foden and Bernardo both showed bollocks as always in this fixture especially Bernardo! Pity they rest couldn't do the same...

As for VAR...FUCKOFF.

Strangely Im not hugely bothered. Already forgotten about. We never win here anyway so glad to get this game out the way, so its only one point dropped. They are still 10 points behind and the league is ours to win.
We need a fit and stable back four as soon as possible, we are conceding too many chances which good teams will take advantage of.
