Today after the first 15 mimutes we werent good enough. Nothing to do with wet the bed or the anfield atmosphere etc etc.....we just didnt have the legs and the elelphant in the room is KDB in intense games. He was very poor despite the assist and we are a man short defensively when he is on the pitch. 99.9% of games it isnt an issue but in the odd one here and there it really shows and today was one of them.

Walker after the first half was decent and Akanji justified Pep picking him. Ake was poor .....Stones and Rodri were ok for the vast majority of the match -Bernardo seemed to lose his head however which is very unlike him.

I dont know what happened to Ederson on the penalty. It was a very poor back pass by Ake who is very culpable for the penalty but Ederson looks like he struggled to get the ball and I think the injury happens before he collides with Nunez....

Pep needs to trust foden centrally.

Problem was with Haaland we had two men short defensively and you won't get away with that against Liverpool at Anfield.

Question and IMHO a slightly bigger one. Does anyone think that Erling or his 'team' might read this forum and feel that he is getting no credit for having been out injured, for fighting for our team etc. and Erling hearing those remarks might get depressed or feel unappreciated? That can affect a player's performance as we all know.

Up the beautiful blues and a great point from a below par performance. They needed the 3 points more than we did today and they know it. We’re bang in this title race and in a cracking position and don’t be mislead otherwise.

Our tactics are still a huge concern, the gaps in midfield and 1 pass rips our defence wide open.
We were fortunate at 1 down v Rags they messed up quite a few breaks/passes and 2nd half today our defence was all over the place with 1 pass getting Dippers through time and time again and only poor finishing earned us a point.
Team is screaming out for a quality player alongside Rodri, and proper full backs and more pace and energy. Alverez again is not a winger or midfielder and yet again our tactics nullified Haaland

Agree with a lot of this. It’s personnel more than pure tactics though for me.

I think Haaland plays well when City play well. What that means is on days like today when we don’t keep the ball and create him chances, then he looks very average.

It’s hard for him to play well when we had so little control. But his effort was shocking. Didn’t seriously press anyone. Shit himself when 1v1 with Van Dick.
