I thought at the end when we scored a third and then the comm said “Oh there’s a VAR check” I thought they meant that it was for a penalty for them after that scramble in our box just before. As he’s walking to the VAR I developed tourette’s and nearly put my foot through the fkin tele, then I realized it wasn’t and nearly started crying. Football eh, who needs it?

I’d have preferred the goal but the VAR can’t really ignore the two huge fouls and call it quits, even if it’s the common sense thing to do. Wish Cherki had hit it harder or that **** hadn’t found Haaland.

I think it was the right decision to not start him. Rodri-Nico-Bernardo were brilliant in the first half and the 3 forwards running in behind caused all sorts of problems and we had them on the back foot for the entire first half.

He did well when he came on, and we needed the creativity 1-0 down.

All in all Pep played it perfectly. They came flying out in the second half as expected and we weathered the storm until an absolute world class free kick, which you can't put on Pep.
 
To be honest - I can't disagree with the decision to disallow the 3-1. That's the rule.

The rule itself needs to change to allow both the goal and the red.

The next side that face Liverpool would be entitled to complain if Szoboszlai played and scored the winner against them.

Nobody can complain (except for the professional victims) about the VAR results we've had against Liverpool this year.
 
If this comeback win at ANFIELD won´t wake up this team and put on a winning run ,nothing will. This should be a major confidence boost ,that second half was poor again until that equalizer.
 
Good first half, bit of the current usual 2nd half slowing up a bit, then a crazy ending. I honestly thought that VAR check at the end was for something in our box before the red card incident. Good game overall.
 
Some good may come of it, that decision surely kills off VAR. Good performance and result though, shame the referees and VAR numpties are crap. Ruined the most dramatic moment of the season
